Sols, a Coventry store, remains closed for selling illegal goods like vapes to children after police action and public concern.

Police first closed Sols in December 2024, and the closure lasted three months. People worried about sales to young people, as the store sold alcohol and tobacco.
Police extended the closure now for another three months, meaning Sols can’t open until May 24th. Anyone there gets arrested and faces prosecution for being there.
Inspector Gemma Marston spoke about Sols, noting that people often complained about the store. She said they are happy about the extension and that businesses should follow the law and obey licensing rules too.
Selling to kids is not okay, and they will act against these stores. Report any worries where you live so police will work to take action and partner with others as needed.
Police want people to report illegal sales, specifically shops that sell illegal things to kids. You can report this to West Midlands Police or share tips anonymously to Crimestoppers too.
Inspector Marston also discussed getting help. They need tips from the public to help with ongoing store issues. They use tips to build a picture, and the police can then take action.
If you see problems, contact the police, including antisocial behavior or drug use. Use Live Chat or call 101 to easily contact them, but in emergencies, call 999. Report crime anonymously to Crimestoppers.
