Hey, guess what’s happening in Coventry? Police will be cracking down on troublemakers. They plan to stop antisocial behavior in the city center.

They issued a Section 35 Dispersal Order. This started yesterday, February 14th. It follows reports of organized problems happening soon. Police didn’t say exactly what they expect.

If you seem to cause issues, cops will move you. Inspector Perrin said they won’t allow such behavior. This applies to anyone contributing to problems. The order lasts 48 hours.

It ends Sunday, February 16th, at 11 AM. More police will patrol the city center. This includes Broadgate and Corporation Street. The order covers many streets in Coventry’s center. These areas include Spon Street and Hill Street.

Croft Road and Corporation Street are included too. Lamb Street and Bishop Street also are part. Tower Street and Hales Street are also covered. White Street and Ford Street are on the list. Fairfax Street and Cox Street as well. Gosford Street and Barracks Way are included. Plus Greyfriars Lane and Salt Lane. New Union Street and Manor House Drive too. Finally, Friars’ Road is part of the order.

Inspector Perrin stated they won’t accept bad behavior. The order helps police move problem causers away. It lasts until Sunday morning to keep things safe.

Extra police will be around this weekend. Security teams will also patrol to reassure people. If you see anything, call 101 and mention log 1872. You can also call Crimestoppers anonymously if you prefer. The number is 0800 555 111.
