A family in Coventry experienced a terrible loss. Tyler Smith, age 23, died in a car crash. The accident occurred in Nuneaton, Warwickshire. This happened yesterday morning, February 9.

His mother, Leanne, and stepfather, Sean, are heartbroken. His younger siblings are also devastated by this. Family friend Kelly Williams spoke about their grief. She said his mother feels like it is not real. She described Tyler as happy, caring, and kind.

Kelly felt obligated to help Tyler’s family. She heard the news in Keresley, where Tyler grew up. So, she created a fundraising page last night. It raised over £3,000 very quickly. This happened in only twelve hours.

Kelly watched Tyler grow up in their community, and her daughter and son also grew up with him. She said it is a very sad situation. He had his entire life ahead of him, she explained.

Tyler, sometimes called Ty, loved Coventry City FC. Kelly said his grandad often took him to games, starting when he was a little boy. Tyler also loved to dance. He especially loved raves, she said.

Kelly stated the family is comforted by the public support. Their small village, Keresley, feels the impact, but everyone is coming together to help.

She thinks the community’s support is amazing. Kelly wanted to help Tyler’s mother because he was her best friend. They grew even closer as he got older.

Kelly is trying to raise as much money as she can to ease the financial burden and help with funeral costs. The family would be grateful for any help.
