Martin Edgar died after an alleged attack. This happened in Hillfields, Coventry. The incident occurred early Tuesday morning, February 11.

Police found Martin seriously hurt on Waterloo Street around 4 am that Tuesday. They rushed Martin, age 42, to a hospital. He had severe head injuries and died Friday, February 14.

A 24-year-old man faces charges for wounding Martin on Thursday, February 13. The man is in custody and will appear at Coventry Crown Court tomorrow, February 17. Police will review the charge with the CPS.

Detective Inspector Phil Poole wants to know what happened and they are working hard for answers. Martin’s family shared a tribute expressing they are heartbroken, their son and brother is now an angel, one of their family members has passed, and they will always love Martin.
