A Coventry theft gang stole vehicles and brazenly tried to sell them back to their owners.

The group stole luxury SUVs, cars, and motorbikes between 2022 and 2023. They used car key burglaries and car-jackings. Police charged them with 47 separate crimes. This became a large case for Coventry police.
The criminals posted videos of their crimes, showing the vehicles stolen on social media. Police looked at social media and phone messages to investigate and find the people responsible. Henn argued about his share of the money.
The gang contacted victims to sell back cars. O’Farrell, O’Shea, and the teen pleaded guilty. Cumberbatch changed his plea to guilty too. Henn pleaded not guilty but was found guilty. All five will have their sentencing in March.
Police recovered 24 of the stolen cars. Chief Superintendent Paul Drover spoke about the case. He said the group acted very boldly and were some of Coventry’s most wanted criminals. Their crimes impacted many people in Coventry.
The thefts, burglaries, and car-jackings caused damage, leading to financial and mental distress for many. The officers worked very hard on the investigation and succeeded in taking these culprits off the streets. This sends a strong message about vehicle crime.
