A family from Coventry is fighting for justice after their young son, Keaton Slater, died in a hit-and-run. They will protest in London.

Keaton died in June 2024. He went to Cardinal Newman Catholic School and was only twelve years old. A speeding BMW hit Keaton on Radford Road on Friday, June 14, 2024.

His parents, Louise and Clint Slater, want Dolars Aleksanders extradited. They believe Aleksanders is in Latvia. He is suspected of causing death by dangerous driving.

Friend John McDevitt spoke about their plans to protest peacefully in London on Friday, June 13, one year since Keaton’s death. They will go to the Ministry of Justice and the Latvian Embassy.

Louise and Clint arranged a meeting to hand in their ePetition, which has over 69,000 signatures. They hope MP Shabana Mahmood, who is also the Justice Secretary, will join them.

John McDevitt organized it all, emphasizing that justice needs to be served. He said the people of Coventry will fight hard and will not forget.

People can join the family for £19, which covers travel and banners. A banner with Keaton’s image will be displayed on the embassy.

John said payment is due before Sunday, April 13. A refund is possible if Aleksanders is extradited early, which is the next step for the family.
