Council addresses worries over parking zones near the Bramley-Moore Dock stadium following petition and business complaints.

This zone will cover a large area and affect many businesses. Over 6,000 people signed a petition, wanting the council to change its plan.
The council says they hear the concerns. New rules start Monday with a test event. These are like rules near Goodison Park and Anfield. The zone includes Ten Streets and Great Homer Street.
Firms near Bramley-Moore Dock are worried. They think the zone could ruin them. A comedy club owner called the idea “stupid.” The council has answered these concerns.
The council says they are listening. They are using a special order for these rules. This lets them test the plan, and they can change things if needed.
This test can last 18 months, ending in August 2026, though changes can happen sooner. Businesses will get ten permits at first. The council will consider more if asked. They also have a survey open until August so people can share their thoughts.
