Twelve bodies discovered in Cornwall over ten weeks raises concern. Police investigate each case, few are suspicious.

Last weekend, police found a young woman near Porthtowan beach. They discovered her body close to the cliffs around 2:55 p.m. on February 8. Police think the body is a Truro woman in her 20s, and they don’t think the death is suspicious. Police ask for help about a handbag.
On February 11, a body was found during a search for Frederick Jackson, a missing man. Frederick was 84 and from Gunnislake. His family knows about the discovery. His death isn’t suspicious, and a file goes to the coroner.
Responders went to Par harbor in late January and found a man’s body. A helicopter went to Harbour Road on January 30 around 8 a.m. The man died at the scene. This death is not suspicious, and the coroner will get a file.
Another body was found on January 18 at Downderry Beach. Authorities want to find this person’s family. The death is unexplained but appears not suspicious.
On January 16, a missing man was found near Land’s End. He was identified as Julio Trujillo, 55, from Mexico. Trujillo was from Mousehole and had been missing for six days. His family is aware of the news.
Julie Marie King, 59, was found at Charlestown Harbour. She was from Par, and she died at the scene on January 11. Her death appears not suspicious, and the coroner will get a report.
John Trevena, 50, was found dead on January 4 at West Looe Cemetery. He came from Looe.
A man’s body turned up at Great Western beach in Newquay on December 13, 2024. The police have identified him.

Andrew McKnight, 76, went missing in September 2024 while diving near St Anthony Head. His body was found on December 8, 2024, at Portholland Beach. McKnight was from St Austell.
