A Cork mom and daughter need help. People are donating money after their home was attacked. Someone petrol-bombed their house last week.

Emergency services went to Carrigaline. The attack happened late Thursday. The fire got put out fast and luckily, the family escaped unharmed.

The attackers likely hit the wrong house. They also damaged the family’s car, breaking its windows and using an axe.

A fundraiser exists to help fix their home, which had “extensive damage.” People have already given almost €5,000.

Leon Doyle is the child’s father and the family just moved into the house. They had just fixed up the front room, which got damaged in the attack.

He said their home was petrol bombed and the car windows also got smashed with the car bonnet axed. He is thankful they are safe.

They moved in two years ago and just made it their own space. The front room was recently finished and donations can help them return home.

Police are still investigating. Gardaí confirmed they are looking into it, calling it criminal damage by fire that happened in Carrigaline, Cork with no one injured.

Another car was set on fire that night outside a home in Ballincolling around 3:30 AM.

A window got smashed on that car and a petrol bomb was thrown inside it. The car burst into flames and fire services put out the blaze.
