Hey, listen to this news from Cork. The council tells drivers not to go through floods. Even shallow water can be risky. Heavy rain made some roads unsafe today.

The weather warning is in place until 3 PM. Be careful if you must drive anywhere. They say lots of water and stuff are on the roads.

The road between Bandon and Kilbrittain closed because of the storm. That’s the R603, so avoid it. Another road, the R-587-167, also has big flooding. This affects Derreens and other spots.

Don’t ever drive deep into floodwater. The water’s actual depth can fool you. You might think it’s shallow but be wrong. This is important advice.

The N22 road from Killarney to Cork has flooding. This happened near the Minish Gate. So Kerry County Council sends a warning too.

They say more roads probably have small floods. Slow down your car if you need to drive. Expect roads to have sitting water today.

There’s also flooding near Bandon and Crookstown on the R590. The R586 near Enniskeane is flooded too. The road near Little Island also has water.

The roads between Carrigaline and Crosshaven, plus near Togher, are affected. These are the R612 and R585. The rain created many problems today.

Some people lost power earlier today because of the weather. At least seventeen hundred people had no electricity. It lasted for several hours.

The wind should be calmer soon, by Tuesday. But, the rain might stick around all week. Met Éireann mentioned this forecast.

They also predict thunderstorms for tonight. Hail could fall overnight, and showers occur tomorrow. More wind is expected on Monday.
