Coast Guard rescued two lucky dogs. The dogs fell off a cliff’s edge. The owner called the Coast Guard before 1 PM on Sunday.

The location was Ringabella, near Myrtleville. Boat units went to Carroll’s Glen for the rescue. The dogs were stuck on the cliff.

Ringabella Bay cliffs reach fifty feet high. The dogs were stuck halfway down. The cliff face was very steep. Rocky cliffs stopped the boat’s approach. Teams hiked and climbed to help the dogs.

The dogs, Bruser and Traffic, got harnessed and were boated to safety. The rescue took a long time. One dog broke its paw when it fell. The owner rushed him to a vet.

The Coast Guard suggests calling for help immediately. The Coast Guard got a call around 1 PM Sunday about Carroll’s Glen near Ringabella. Two dogs fell off a cliff and their owner called for assistance. The caller did not try self-rescue.

The dogs were hard to reach by boat, but boat teams brought Bruser and Traffic to safety. One dog broke its paw, and the owner took him to get treatment. The Coast Guard wishes him a speedy recovery and urge people to call 112/999 for help, asking for the Irish Coast Guard if someone is in danger.

The Clare Coast Guard base has new helicopters. Bristow Ireland is doing a ten year contract for €800m. The new AW 189 choppers are better than older Sikorsky models. The helicopters have advanced technology, including great cameras and night vision. This helps find people in tough conditions.
