New Coffee#1 opens in Ashby, inside a former Lloyds Bank. Eight jobs created, free drinks on opening.
Coffee#1 opened its Ashby branch today in the former Lloyds Bank, located on Market Street. The bank closed down in 2022. This coffee chain started in 2001 and they’ve been opening popular coffee shops since.
Eight people now work at the Ashby Coffee#1 shop and the Market Street location marks their second Leicestershire store. Another Coffee#1 is already in Loughborough. You can also find their shops in Coventry and Derby.
The new branch aims for a comfy atmosphere so that you can relax with food and drinks. The area manager is excited for the opening because she thinks Coffee#1 will fit in well, noting the local community has a warm feel.
The coffee shop’s inside is warm and bright, designed to feel like someone’s living room. Local history scenes decorate the walls and books fill the shelves too.
Coffee#1 welcomes dogs and also invites local groups for meetings.
