Couple honors daughter lost at 24 weeks with a room at University Hospital Wishaw for bereaved parents, named Coorie Inn.

They raised money for this special hospital room at University Hospital Wishaw. The room gives parents peace during hard times and is a quiet space in the neonatal unit.
The couple raised over £5,420, which paid for the family room. It has a bed, TV, and bathroom, plus a “cold cot” that lets families spend time with their baby.
Greg said Lilly’s lungs weren’t ready, but hospital staff supported them greatly. They wanted to give back on Lily’s tenth anniversary.
They held a charity golf day at Cardrona in Peebles during August 2023. Many people played and joined an auction, with golf clubs and football clubs donating gifts.
The hospital used the money for the room, as Greg and Suzanne valued their time with Lily. They wanted other parents to have this chance.
They were very happy about the room. Then Suzanne became pregnant again with Alexandra, who was also born early, at 34 weeks.
The hospital cared for her well, meaning now Alexandra is healthy. She joined her parents in opening the room, which gives them peace, Suzanne shared.
Hospital staff named it the Coorie Inn. “Coorie in” means to snuggle up in Scots, and it is a place for families to rest.
The NHS thanked Greg and Suzanne, calling their gesture generous. Alexandra’s visit made it even more special, the room honors Lily, and other parents will appreciate it.
