CCTV shows kids running after an attack on Bhim Kohli, 80. A boy is on trial for murder, a girl for manslaughter.

CCTV showed two kids run from a park in Leicestershire. They allegedly abused an elderly man, kicking and punching him near his home in Braunstone Town’s Franklin Park.
An 80-year-old, Bhim Kohli, died from his injuries. A 15-year-old boy is on trial for his murder, while a 13-year-old girl is charged with manslaughter. Both kids deny the charges, and their names cannot be released.
Mr. Kohli walked his dog in the park on September 1st. A boy wearing a balaclava hit him, using a shoe to slap Mr. Kohli’s face. The girl filmed the attack on her phone.
Mr. Kohli told his daughter at the scene that he was punched and kicked. The court viewed more videos of Mr. Kohli on his knees, with the boy slapping him with a slider.
The attacker yelled at Mr. Kohli after the man stood up. The videos then showed Mr. Kohli lying still on his side.
The prosecution described events before this: At 5:38 PM, the boy and girl left the boy’s house with another child. They met two more girls, and the group of five entered Franklin Park at 6:21 PM, three minutes after Mr. Kohli arrived.
CCTV footage showed Mr. Kohli walking his dog to Franklin Park. The prosecutor stated in court that after entering the park, Mr. Kohli spoke to someone unknown and then walked into the trees, moving out of the CCTV’s view.
Before the attack, two kids left the group of five. One other girl also ran from the park. The prosecution alleges that the boy and girl on trial then ran from the scene.
Footage captured a female voice asking, “Have you got anger issues?” A male voice responded, “I smacked him.” This exchange occurred as the kids walked away.
Another female voice spoke, saying things were getting worse. She asked if there was anything else, wanting to know before it escalated.
A male voice said, “He whacked his head off a log.” A female voice replied, “I know, I saw that – it goes ‘doosh’,” while the girl made a gesture with her head.
Mr. Kohli was taken to a hospital and then moved to Queen’s Medical Centre. Doctors could not save him, and he died the next day, September 2nd. The murder trial continues.
