A man in his 50s fatally stabbed on Chesterton Road. A 30-year-old arrested. Police investigation ongoing.
Someone called an ambulance about a stabbing. Sadly, a man in his 50s died soon after police arrived and began their investigation. The man died within 18 minutes.
They arrested a 30-year-old fellow suspected of committing the murder. They are holding him at Parkside Police Station in custody right now.
The police still have the area blocked off today, Wednesday morning. A police van is still there, and they are still gathering information and evidence.
A detective, Mark Butler, spoke about it, and he thinks it was a one-off thing. He urges anyone with info to come forward quickly, as they really want to solve this case.
