Police investigate an attempted murder on Meadgate Avenue. A man is in hospital; a suspect arrested.

Emergency services went to Meadgate Avenue after receiving a call about an injured man around 7:10 PM on Wednesday, February 12. The man had really serious injuries, but luckily, his injuries aren’t life-threatening now.
He’s still in the hospital getting treatment. Police arrested a 20-year-old from Great Baddow, suspected of trying to murder the man; they’re holding him.
Detective Inspector Andy Drake spoke about the incident and said there is no wider risk to everyone. You’ll see more police around Meadgate Avenue as they are working fast.
