A cat named Tilly made news. She took a train to London, a trip of over 17 miles. Michael Hardy had to get her, finding her at Waterloo station.

Tilly is two years old and lives in Weybridge, Surrey. People know her well locally, as she often visits pubs and schools. Tilly has traveled on buses and in Ubers. London was her biggest trip yet.

Trains take 35-40 minutes to Waterloo from Weybridge. Michael and Emma own Tilly. They got a call about her in November from station staff who had found her. Michael worked in London that day.

He drove across the city to pick up Tilly. Station workers were amazed, as Tilly often visits the station. People come to find her there.

Waterloo is the furthest she traveled, although she could go to Brighton on another train. Tilly used to be a stray cat. She joined their family a year ago.

Two girls asked about Tilly’s owners, but the vet found no microchip. So, they adopted her. She began exploring after settling in, even going to hotels near Heathrow.

Michael owns a phone company. He said nobody knows her past and that he was shocked by her trips. Most cats stay close to home, but Tilly likes solo adventures.

She visits a local pub and sits behind the bar. Tilly even goes to the vet. Michael says she is always doing wild things, and they once got her an Uber home.

Michael put an Airtag on Tilly’s collar to help track her. People still call about her safety. They used to worry when she left, but now they are used to it.

She meows at the door, then she goes away. They don’t know when she will come home. Tilly has a Facebook page with 4.6K followers.
