Clevedon care home knits squares for premature babies to celebrate Bupa’s anniversary. Aiming for 25,000 squares across the UK.

Elm View has already made 300 squares and plans to create many more. Chris Boudet, who manages Elm View, wants to give back to the community.
Knitted baby squares seemed like a good idea because residents enjoy knitting as an activity. They can work with staff and family, creating something special together. The home has lots of eager knitters ready to help.
They want locals to join their challenge because knitting baby squares can really make a difference. The knitters at Elm View hope to knit a record number of squares.
Beryl, a 91-year-old resident, loves knitting and enjoys helping the babies this way. She thinks the squares will provide comfort, especially during the cold winter months.
All knitters are welcome to join the effort. The squares should be ten centimeters by ten centimeters, and extra stitching is not needed. This makes it easy, even for beginners.
