Brides left in limbo after popular Cardiff Bridal Centre suddenly closes, leaving orders unfulfilled.

The store was on Mill Lane, where they operated for 37 years. It was a family business, so the closure is particularly surprising. They haven’t spoken to the press yet, though.
Brides received a text message about the closure. The message said the store had to close and acknowledged that brides would be upset. The store stated they will give more information when possible. They suggest brides order dresses elsewhere and ask their bank for a refund. Brides say the store isn’t offering refunds itself, which makes things difficult.
One bride, Sarah Dring, is really worried. Her parents bought her dress there for over £1,000 last year. The store said she must reorder, pay again, and ask her bank for money back. Sarah’s wedding is in July, so time is short, and paying for the dress twice is a significant burden.
Her dad passed away recently, so the stress is even worse, and she can’t currently reach them by phone. Another bride, Bee Robillard, is also affected, having paid a £700 deposit on her dress. The total cost was £1,600 for her dream dress, which another shop sells for £2,700. She says losing the deposit and the dress is incredibly painful.
Chelsea Jones traveled from London to visit the shop just weeks ago and also lost her £200 deposit. They told her they can’t provide the dress and cannot get a refund. The store hasn’t answered requests for comment.
