A car got trapped in sand near Traeth Llanddwyn. Diggers are clearing the area after storms caused major sand buildup.

The sand problem is really bad, and cars often cannot drive out. A Mini got stuck there recently; the driver looked confused in a photo, trying to figure things out.
A NRW manager helped him by using his tractor to pull the Mini free. The area is managed by Natural Resources Wales (NRW), and they fight sand buildup there regularly.
Digger machines started clearing sand on Tuesday, working on the worst parts of the car park. They kept it open for people to use, and the work took two days.
NRW said storms caused the sand issue and asked people to be careful of their machines. Locals say the one-way system forces you through the area.
One woman barely got through in her car, and soon, people might only enter and exit one way. Another local said more storms will turn the car park into dunes.
People want barriers to protect the car park. Someone suggested they add groynes to stop drift, similar to how sand ladders protect the beach path and stop too much sand.
