A café needs to make some changes. Inspectors said Belle Marie’s needs improvement. The café is in Dormanstown. Food hygiene inspectors visited last December.

Inspectors judged specific things. They checked food handling practices. Cleanliness was checked along with the building and they also reviewed food safety management.

The café got a two-star rating. “Improvement necessary” was the rating given. The Ennis Square café was rated generally okay, but food handling needed improvement. This includes prepping, cooking, and storing food.

Belle Marie’s is very popular locally and they are open seven days a week. They have 1,000 social media followers. A customer praised their fast buffet service.

Someone else raved about Sunday dinners. They said everything tasted fresh and no frozen vegetables were used. Customers get generous portions and the cakes were also highly recommended.

Teesside Live asked Belle Marie’s for a comment. They wanted to hear about the review.
