Manor cafe rebounds from poor rating after improvements and rebranding to Cafe Seaton.

Weeks later, they re-inspected. The cafe is now called Cafe Seaton. It received a four-star grade this time. The manor owner said they fixed the problems and were very happy with the new rating.
The first report listed some problems: Food was kept longer than allowed. Tuna, ham, and sausages sat at room temperature. These foods can cause food poisoning and need to be in a fridge, below 8C.
Raw meat juices were in the fridge bottom. Food containers were on top of the juices. Moving containers spread harmful bacteria to surfaces, so inspectors wanted the fridge cleaned well. Raw meat should be in containers.
After the second inspection, the owner, William Kidd, spoke. He expects five stars soon and said temporary staff caused the issues. They did not follow procedures. The cafe rebranded as Café Seaton recently.
Mr. Kidd says they now control the cafe directly. He is happy with the four-star rating, the highest possible for a new business. The manor house dates back to 1130, with holiday cottages, gardens, and an antiques centre. They plan a “Zodiac Arboretum Pinetum,” where people can sponsor memorial trees.
