A café owner is heartbroken after a burglar scaled a wall, broke in, and stole the safe.

Demi Moore found her cafe ransacked Saturday morning at The Coffee Shed in Normanby. CCTV shows one person inside around 3 AM, but it is unclear if others helped.
Demi has owned the shop for five years, working hard to make it successful. The burglar climbed the back wall and broke the back door to get in.
The thief poured bleach around, ruining the till and electronics. They broke another door upstairs and stole the safe. Demi feels heartbroken and devastated.
Demi says they created jobs and built the business from nothing, even making it through Covid restrictions. It hurts that someone tried to take it away.
The Coffee Shed opened just before Covid hit, but Demi kept it alive with takeaway food. She sold treats like cupcakes and afternoon tea.
Despite the damage, people offered support right away, and a big cleanup helped them reopen partially. They served coffee and cake by Saturday lunchtime.
Demi wanted to show resilience and prove they wouldn’t be beaten. Police officers came to assess the damage Saturday. Teesside Live contacted the police for comments.
