Devon Bentley, age 21, committed several burglaries. They happened in Werrington between October and February.

He stole quite a few things from three different homes. He took a doctor’s Audi A6 and a motocross bike. Bentley also stole some Royal Wedgwood ornaments. These items held sentimental value.

A judge sentenced him to 1,112 days in jail and advised him to find work after release. Bentley’s DNA was found at two crime scenes, the prosecutor said in court.

Police visited his address on March 13. They seized items from his bedroom then, including a National Trust card with someone else’s name on it.

Bentley had 41 offenses with 13 convictions previously. During his police interview, he stayed silent, but later pleaded guilty to burglary. He also admitted handling stolen goods. Bentley lives on Sefton Road.

In court statements, victims expressed their fear, stating that they and their families feel unsafe at home.

His lawyer said Bentley had a difficult upbringing and wants to change his life for his partner’s son. He aims to be a positive role model.

The judge described the details of a burglary at a care home resident’s house. Bentley forced entry, caused damage, stole personal items, and left his DNA.

The doctor whose car was stolen spoke about the impact, explaining that he had to reschedule appointments and rearrange his schedule.

Finally, the judge told Bentley to change his ways, noting he could keep going to prison or get a job. He must work on his life.
He can improve the role he will be giving to the child.
