Two brothers deny assault charges after an alleged altercation with police at Manchester Airport last July.

Muhammad Amaad, age 25, is one brother. Mohammed Amaaz, age 20, is the other. They wore suits to court. Video showed the incident and involved police and others last July.
Mohammed Amaaz said he’s not guilty. His charges include causing bodily harm. He also denies assaulting an emergency worker. Muhammad Amaad also pleaded not guilty. He faces one count of causing bodily harm.
The trial is scheduled for June. Mohammed Amaaz is from Rochdale. He allegedly assaulted Abdulkareem Hamzah Abbas Ismaeil, a member of the public. It happened on July 23, 2024.
He also denies hurting PC Zachary Marsden. The charge is actual bodily harm. He also denied hurting PC Lydia Ward, with this charge also being actual bodily harm. He denied assaulting PC Ellie Cook, too.
Muhammad Amaad also lives in Rochdale. He is charged with hurting PC Zachary Marsden. Again, the charge is actual bodily harm. This also happened on July 23.
Judge Andrew Menary KC spoke to them. He leads court sessions in Liverpool. He announced the trial date, which is set for June 30 this year. He continued their bail, keeping it the same as before, and they were allowed to leave.
