Jason and Craig Cox, jailed for a bloody 2020 drug robbery, may face more prison if they don’t pay back ill-gotten gains.

A dad and son were inside the raided house. The brothers slashed them with an axe and machete. One victim had a very bad wound.
The Cox brothers went to jail in 2023. Their charges included drugs and robbery crimes. Now, they must pay back money. If not, they’ll get nine more months in prison. Their older brother, Lee Cox, is also involved.
Though he wasn’t at the house, he helped with drugs. He must pay £40,000 for his part. He previously went to jail too. Prosecutors want to take away crime profits.
They focus on available assets. If the brothers don’t pay fully, they risk more prison time. The CPS can later pursue more assets. The Cox family sold drugs in the North West.
Jason and Lee hid in Spain after the crime. They returned to court this February. A judge reviewed their illegal gains. Jason Cox made £1,856,944 from crime.
Craig Cox made £1,674,443. Lee Cox made £864,453.They must pay back the money they still have now. Jason owes £40,346. Craig owes £40,480. Lee owes £40,000.
A final hearing is set for February 28. It involves four other people associated with them.
