Bristol sees multiple streets exceeding 100 HMOs for the first time. Gloucester Road leads with 165 properties.

Gloucester Road still has the most HMOs, with one hundred sixty-five of these properties. Fishponds Road now has 108 HMOs, a twenty-four percent increase from last year’s eighty-seven.
Whiteladies Road reached one hundred HMOs, moving up from ninety-five last year. Filton Avenue now has one hundred HMOs too. Cotham has the highest HMO density, said the Council.
Here are the streets with the most HMOs: Gloucester Road has 165 HMOs, Fishponds Road has 108 HMOs, Whiteladies Road contains 102 HMOs, and Filton Avenue has exactly 100 HMOs.
High Kingsdown and Ashley Down Road both have 82. Pembroke Road and Queens Road each have 62. Wilder Street has 58, Cromwell Road has 54, Tyndalls Park Road has 52, and St Michaels Hill has 51.
Park Street holds 49, while Baldwin Street and Cheltenham Road have 47. Toronto Road and Stapleton Road both have 46. Coronation Road has 43, and Southmead Road contains 41 HMOs.
The council did thirty-three hundred ninety-seven inspections across 2023 and 2024. Enforcement actions happened at sixty-three hundred seven properties. They also had one thousand or so informal notices, issued 142 formal notices, and 18 financial penalty notices.
