39 new homes planned for Brighouse’s Field Lane estate, featuring rentals, houses, and flats, pending council approval.

Together Housing Association hopes for approval. These homes would be phase two of an estate project. Made It Together seeks council permission. They want to build homes and upgrade a park. Homes England is providing some funding.
The estate has ongoing housing upgrades. This is part of a large renewal project. Phase one has 55 affordable homes. They are building on vacant plots. Park improvements are included too.
The new phase includes 39 homes to rent. These are for social and affordable rent. There will be flats and houses. Three one-bed flats will be on each floor. Thirty-three homes will have two or three bedrooms.
These homes will be on four land areas. These areas are within the Field Lane estate. Linton Grove has three land areas. It will be built in the north part. Smith Crescent will be in the south-east area.
Fifty-two properties now occupy those lands. They are soon going to be empty. The current properties will be demolished. They are not fit to live in anymore.
The new mix suits different needs, they said. It helps families, couples, and single people. It addresses need in housing. Most homes have gardens and parking. They also have solar panels and air source heat pumps.
The Field Lane estate grew after the war. It was built to meet housing needs. It has expanded to meet demand. The plans offer good and affordable housing. These plans align with government housebuilding goals.
