Council clarifies parking rules near Everton’s new stadium at Bramley-Moore Dock after controversy and public concerns.

Businesses are unhappy with the new parking zone. The rules apply every day, not just on match days, and many fear a devastating impact. A petition against them has 16,000 signatures.
The council says they will listen and might change things. One concern involves disabled fans and how blue badges would work. The Everton Disabled Supporters Association (EDSA) asked for answers.
EDSA shared the council’s response on social media. Blue badge parking is allowed within the restricted zone, but not in road closures near the stadium. The council said blue badge holders should follow national guidelines.
They can park longer where one-hour waiting is allowed and need to display their badge clearly. Blue badge holders can also park on yellow lines unless loading or unloading is restricted.
They must display the blue badge with the parking clock, and the vehicle cannot cause an obstruction. EDSA thought blue badge parking would be allowed. It works at Goodison and Anfield now, but the communication was not clear. Residents need a permit and a blue badge.
