People had swords and machetes during a fight that happened Monday in East London. Witnesses were very shocked by the violence. The fight began around 4:41 pm in Forest Gate, and people nearby had to run away.

A 17-year-old got stabbed in the fight and ran to a youth center close by. Paramedics helped him there before taking him to a hospital. Police closed off Chestnut Avenue and Woodford Road. Officers are investigating, including forensic teams.

Neighbors told a website they fear rising crime and worry about more weapons in London. The teenager’s condition is not known right now. Detectives are still working on the case, using blood-sniffer dogs.

Schools and youth centers received a warning to be careful during this time. Police responded to reports of a fight on Woodford Road. This occurred at 4:42 pm on Monday, March 18.

Police found the stabbed 17-year-old there, and paramedics helped him. An ambulance took him to a hospital, but the seriousness of his injuries is unclear. Police have set up a crime scene but have not arrested anyone yet.
