An 11 year old boy has suffered serious injuries after being hit by a car on Stanningley Bypass in Leeds.

It happened near Richardshaw Lane on Stanningley Bypass. Police arrived around 3:50 pm on Thursday, February 20. They took the boy to Leeds General Infirmary.
Doctors first thought he had life-threatening injuries. Police confirmed he is still in the hospital. His injuries are serious now, but they are no longer considered life-threatening though.
Police said a silver Skoda Octavia hit the boy. He was walking across that road. The police ask witnesses to speak up and want anyone with video of it to contact them. It includes footage before the accident even.
Emergency services shut down part of the road. It was the A6120 Ring Road going eastbound. The closure affected traffic from Farsley to Richardshaw Lane. The road was closed during the evening.
Yorkshire Ambulance Service got a call at 3:54 pm. A car hit a person on Stanningley Bypass. They sent an ambulance, leader, and doctor and one person went to Leeds General Infirmary.
