Truro’s Boscawen Park will soon have a new leisure hub, boasting sports, events, and recreational facilities. Project is to start mid 2025.

They will build a multi-use facility there with new changing rooms and flexible indoor spaces. People can use it for sports, events, conferences, family fun, workshops, arts, and crafts.
The public saw the plans back in November 2024, and after hearing their thoughts, they submitted the plan. Now, the council has given its approval, a step project leaders are calling significant.
Truro’s mayor mentioned it marks real progress; the new hub will boost sports and leisure for locals and visitors alike. They hope it will open in 2026.
The new building will have indoor space for badminton, table tennis, and basketball. Outdoor plans enhance the pétanque pitch, with surface improvements planned to allow for extended field use each year.
The project aims to leave a lasting impact, creating an amenity that many people in town can enjoy. Now that permission is in hand, designers will make final plans before hiring a construction crew. Building should start by mid-2025.
Cornwall leaders are also cheering on this project, stating that the hub helps people live well and moves Cornwall toward that goal.
