A cyclist suffered serious injuries after a BMW driver drove the wrong way around a Stockport roundabout.

Emergency services quickly arrived and closed the road for several hours. Greater Manchester Police gave an update today explaining that a grey BMW 1 series went the wrong way and hit the cyclist on the roundabout.
The cyclist is a man in his 60s, and he went to the hospital for treatment. He has serious, possibly life-changing injuries. The Serious Collision Investigation Unit investigates.
Police arrested a man, also in his 60s, suspecting him of dangerous driving. He’s still in custody for questioning.
