A masked car-jacker in a stolen BMW led police on a chase ending in a crash in Hanley; suspect arrested released under investigation.

The chase ended when the driver crashed the BMW on Town Road in Hanley, near Richer Sounds. StokeonTrentLive reported many police cars went there around 3 PM on Tuesday, February 11.
Police said they arrested a 28-year-old man for various offenses, including robbery, dangerous driving, and drink driving. He was later released as the investigation continues.
A police spokesperson stated that the BMW was found after a chase in Stoke-on-Trent. The BMW was stolen around 9 AM that Tuesday in Hanley when a masked person demanded the keys.
The car was located around 3:15 PM, leading to a short police chase that ended on Town Road with a crash. Fortunately, no one was injured in the collision.
Ambulance personnel reported attending Town Road at 2:58 PM to assess three individuals, all of whom were discharged at the scene. Another crash occurred nearby on Potteries Way around the same time, connected to the incident on Town Road.
