Parking fees in Blackpool stay the same to support businesses, residents, and tourism amid rising costs.

Parking costs will not increase at some car parks. This includes Talbot Road, West Street, Central, Banks Street, and Central car parks. The freeze begins in April.
The council knows increases could hurt businesses, residents, and tourism. They are freezing car park charges this year and some car park fees have not increased lately.
They kept prices affordable despite rising costs to run and maintain the car parks. The council hopes this helps Blackpool, assisting workers, residents, and businesses.
Some charges increased last year, including Talbot Road and West Street car parks. These changes aligned them with the Central Car Park.
A report showed parking revenue increased, up £150,000 from last year, partly from higher charges.
Events like Christmas-by-the-Sea, the Air Show, and the fireworks event increased income. There were fewer patrons between April and August, with bad weather causing about 26,000 fewer visits.
The council will spend £100,000 on Talbot Road’s system because the current coin system is outdated, updating the payment system.
