A Blackburn waste boss had his van seized and was fined for dumping rubbish on Mowbray Avenue.

George Titterington ran G&G Rubbish Removals. He also used the name The Garbage Guys Blackburn. Someone paid him to remove waste from a house. Instead, he dumped the waste on Mowbray Avenue. This happened in Blackburn.
The homeowner checked the company’s license. It was a waste disposal license, so the homeowner avoided any trouble. The council seized Titterington’s van, and then, they started criminal proceedings.
Titterington was found guilty of fly-tipping. He had to pay fines of £3,800.
The council posted about it on Facebook, saying he dumped waste on Mowbray Avenue. He was registered to carry waste.
The council said George went to court. He lost his vehicle to them. Plus, he was fined £3,800.
The customer checked his registration and received a receipt. They avoided problems thanks to this; they could have faced repercussions otherwise.
You must ensure your waste doesn’t get dumped illegally. Always check that the carrier is registered. Ask where they will take your waste, and always get a receipt for the transaction. George now has a criminal record because of this.
