Three men face 20 years in jail after a Birmingham police chase led to the seizure of a revolver and ammunition.

Jermaine Vassell is twenty. Kiyran Delaney is twenty-one. Rayhan Hurd is twenty-six. They got sentenced at court.
Someone called the police just before midnight on Christmas Eve in 2023. The call gave information about a gun.
Detectives linked Vassell and Delaney to a car that had triggered cameras in south Birmingham. The police tracked the car, and firearms officers tried to stop it.
The driver did not stop, and a chase began. The police stopped the car on Quarry Lane in Northfield.
Vassell and Delaney ran away, but police caught them. The driver got away at first but was later identified as Hurd.
Officers found a converted revolver that could fire real bullets, and more ammo, inside the car. All three pleaded guilty at earlier court hearings, admitting to having the gun plus ammo.
Delaney, from Walsall, got six years in jail. Vassell, from Birmingham, was sentenced to eight years. Hurd, from Dudley, got six years on February 18.
A police officer talked about the case, saying they take gun reports seriously and want to keep everyone safe.
He also mentioned initial tips helped and brave officers made it happen, taking a gun off the streets. The officer wants people to report weapons and can report anonymously to police.
