Birmingham’s street racing ban, allowing jail time, continues. The ban covers multiple areas until at least 2027.

A judge looked at these rules again in late February. The rules will remain in place, and people must follow them.
If drivers break the rules, they face consequences like jail time or fines. Courts could also seize their property.
These rules ban driving or riding at racing events, as well as stunts and dangerous driving. The ban covers Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Dudley, Sandwell, and Walsall.
The rules started in February 2024 and last until at least 2027. Another review is planned for about a year from now.
Police continue to fight street racing to make roads safer. They work with others to find and punish those involved. Call 101 to report incidents, and 999 for emergencies.
