A sixteen-year-old boy was stabbed in Birmingham on Saturday, February 15, around 3:30 p.m. The stabbing occurred on Pretoria Road, and police are investigating. The victim sustained serious injuries and is currently in the hospital in stable condition.

Police arrested another sixteen-year-old boy on Sunday night, suspecting him of attempted murder. He is currently in police custody, and they are questioning him about the stabbing.

Police are also investigating a disorder at a hospital, the location of which is not yet public, and this incident might relate to the stabbing. Police urge the public not to spread rumors, stating they are unhelpful and damaging.

A peaceful protest took place on Sunday at the site of the stabbing. People gathered in Bordesley Green to show their concern and are calling for change in the area.

Police confirmed that no arrests were made in relation to the hospital disorder. A hospital spokesperson confirmed that their hospitals are fully operational and open, with all services running normally.

Regarding reports that ambulances could not drop off patients and raids at the hospital, police say these are false. They have spoken with hospital staff and ambulance officials, who also deny these reports.
