City-wide operation results in arrests, drug and weapon seizures, and recovered vehicles, addressing community concerns.

Operation Skybridge officers made 23 arrests covering 40 alleged offences. Twenty-two charges then resulted, which police called “pure proactive policing.” A lot of cash got seized, and they found a big stash of drugs.
The arrests included drug dealing charges, stolen cars, and knives. Class A and Class B drugs were involved. Officers also seized many weapons, including knives.
Twelve vehicles were seized by police, who also found two stolen vehicles. The Skybridge team works with local police. They learn what’s important to people, deter crime, and offer reassurance.
A driver didn’t stop for officers, but police stopped the car on Montague Street. The 23-year-old driver got charged with driving without insurance and while disqualified. A 50-year-old man got charged with racially aggravated harassment.
Sergeant Leon Butler spoke about the operation, stating that they targeted important crimes. The team listened to community concerns and used information to target offenders. The goal is to disrupt repeated crime, and the team works excellently together.
