Birmingham Men Charged After Foot Chase Yields Firearms and Drugs

Adnan Haider, 21, from Nansen Road, Saltley, faces firearms charges, charges for a bladed article, and driving offenses, including driving disqualified and uninsured.
Dayyan Mahmood, 19, is from Landor Street. He faces firearm possession charges and is also charged with possessing a bladed article.
Both men remain in custody currently and are scheduled to appear in court today, February 22. Police seized items after the chase, including a shotgun, machetes, and Class B drugs. The chase took place in Washwood Heath on February 21.
These arrests are part of Operation Target, West Midlands Police’s initiative that targets serious crime and organised crime.
