A Birmingham hospital locked down following a stabbing and reports of a group ambushing the A&E department.

The stabbing occurred on Pretoria Road in Bordesley Green around 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, February 15. Police are looking into disorder at the hospital and think it connects to the stabbing.
A witness at the hospital described a large group of 30 to 40 people who “ambushed” the A&E. She stated the hospital went into lockdown, with security and police guarding every door. These claims are not yet official as the hospital trust needs to comment.
Police issued a statement on Sunday, February 16, stating they are investigating a teenager’s stabbing, which happened on Saturday in Bordesley Green. Police got reports of the stabbing on Pretoria Road that occurred around 3:30 p.m.
A sixteen-year-old boy went to the hospital with serious injuries and is now in stable condition. Police started an investigation to know what happened exactly, and are also investigating the hospital disorder, believing the stabbing caused it.
