Council halts seven-bedroom HMO near Pershore Road. Residents concerned about antisocial behavior and overdevelopment.

Locals worried about more problems. They already face antisocial behavior. Some reported neighbors shooting at windows. Drug dealing and abuse were also concerns.
Councilor Jamie Scott sided with residents. He confirmed the plan is stopped. The council explained their decision for 764 Pershore Road. The council said too many HMOs exist there.
They think it makes the area unbalanced, harming the area and nearby buildings. Residents say HMOs caused decline and safety worries.
The design was also a problem. Extensions looked bad and were too big. The size overwhelmed the building’s appearance. Bedroom seven lacked light, harming future residents. Bedroom four had a poor layout, resulting in a cramped and harmful living space.
