A man died in Stechford. Also, someone died in Hall Green this week. West Midlands Police are investigating these fatal crashes which happened within 24 hours.

A car hit a man on Audley Road in Stechford around 9:10 PM on Sunday, February 9. Another man died on Stratford Road in Hall Green around 7:15 PM on Monday, February 10; he was in his 50s.

The Stechford victim has not been identified yet. Ambulance workers tried to save him at the scene, but he died there. The driver in Stechford did not stop, and police are looking for that driver.

Detective Sergeant Rich Evans asked the driver to surrender. Police are checking CCTV footage in the area, and Audley, Flaxley, and Iron Lane were mostly closed that morning. Police need witnesses and dashcam footage; people can call 101, referencing log 3687 of February 9.

Two men were arrested concerning the Hall Green death. The crash involved a BMW and a Honda, and the Honda driver was badly hurt. Emergency workers could not save him and he died in a hospital shortly after.

The people in the BMW ran away, but later, two men went to a police station. These men are suspected of causing death by dangerous driving.
