City Road has parked cars on both sides. Near-daily crashes often damage these cars. A Range Rover hit an Audi, then a BMW. This happened in 2022. A pedestrian was almost hit.
Starting in March, they will add a central island. This will be between Sandon Road and Rotton Park Road. Flashing speed signs will also warn speeding drivers.
The road near schools gets a 20mph limit. They will paint double yellow lines at junctions. Councillor Bernasconi is happy about these changes. A safety review started in March 2020.

They are on corners of side roads. Bollards will stop pavement parking outside a store.
