Birmingham soft play cafe owner receives overwhelming support after thieves target the business twice in February.

The cafe owner felt overwhelmed by the support. People donated money to help her recover. Her soft play cafe is in Stirchley and it got broken into on February 10 and 25.
The cafe opened in December on Pershore Road. It’s a fun place for kids under eight, where they can play with toys and games.
Kamarah Ketley said it makes things harder because the cafe is meant to be for children. She was cleaning glass up off the floor to make it safe for kids. The door was broken the same way as before and glass was smashed again.
Last time, they only took the tip money. Kamarah opened Soft Play with her mom, Nicky. She wanted a fun place for young kids, and the cafe became popular in Stirchley. People made a GoFundMe page for Kamarah soon after. She felt overwhelmed by everyone’s kindness.
Kamarah needed to improve security, but she couldn’t afford shutters. People encouraged her to use GoFundMe, and a friend created the page. Donations poured in quickly.
The page passed its goal of £2,000. That would cover half the security costs, and someone even donated £230. Kamarah was so grateful for the help.
The security shutters cost £4,000. She will pay the rest with the GoFundMe money. Kamarah reopened the cafe and appreciated the community’s support. Customers are giving positive feedback.
