Andrew Mullen gets four years for trying to rob a woman at an ATM on Canterbury High Street. He had a knife and fell off his bike.

It all started with an attempted robbery. This event happened on Canterbury High Street. It was the morning of November 2 last year. The victim used an ATM to get some cash. She noticed a man on a bicycle behind her.
She went to put the money away. Then, Mullen grabbed her hand to get it. The victim tried to protect her money. A struggle broke out between them. Mullen elbowed her and then fell off his bicycle.
He quickly rode away from the scene. The victim went inside the bank and called the police. Detectives found Mullen using CCTV footage. They arrested him later that month. The officers found a knife on him.
Mullen is 49 years old and homeless. He faced charges for the crimes in December 2024. Then, in January 2025, he admitted what he did in court.
