Two men jailed after police stop and search uncovers class A drugs and dealing operation.

Officers discovered small bags with suspected Class A drugs. Mirgen Morina, from West London, was arrested, suspected of intent to supply drugs. Officers then searched his address, locating £4,500 and more suspected drugs.
Morina faced charges, including drug supply and possessing criminal property. After Morina’s arrest, police stopped another car the same day in Parkfields. The driver was a suspected drug runner, and police arrested him, suspecting drug supply involvement.
The driver’s unlocked phone revealed messages detailing meeting locations and drug deals. Alex-Vasilica Rarinca, age 29 with no fixed address in Castle Point, pleaded guilty. His charge was cocaine supply involvement.
Both men appeared in Basildon Crown Court on November 18, 2024. Morina also pleaded guilty. On February 3, the court sentenced them. Morina received three years and two months, and Rarinca received two years. The court ordered forfeiture of money and drugs.
Sergeant Adam Jarvis commented that dealing is risky, with prison time if caught. Police strongly oppose drug crimes, as they fuel violence. Police tackle drug issues directly, and anyone dealing drugs in Essex faces consequences. Dedicated officers are working to disrupt these plans.
