In Belfast, police caught a 23-year-old man who they suspect committed the murder. He was trying to take a ferry from Belfast to Liverpool.

The PSNI released a statement saying they arrested the man on February 16, 2025. This arrest connects to the Dublin assault, which occurred early Saturday, February 15, 2025.

They detained the man under the Criminal Jurisdiction Act, and he is still in police custody. Officers will keep working with Irish police, and another update is expected soon.
