A campaign in Bath raised over £10,120. They will install bleed kits in the city. These kits help people with bad bleeding. They will locate them where young people meet. Emma Williams is leading this helpful effort.

Emma felt strongly about knife crime’s impact. She wanted somewhere to turn her upset and do something positive. She felt driven to act to protect children. She does not want to see more kids hurt.

They raised money in twenty-five days using GoFundMe. Twenty-six local businesses helped a lot. Many people gave money, too. They will buy and install bleed control kits. These kits help stop life-threatening bleeding.

The campaign now works with the Avon and Somerset Bleed Partnership. They help buy and place the kits where needed. Emma is asking businesses to keep the kits. She focuses on places where young people go.

Emma wants two kits in areas with none. She believes bigger businesses can donate more. This would let them expand the project. She noted some kits are not easy to see. More should be visible, she feels, so kids can find them in emergencies easier.

The project has good community support. Avon and Somerset Constabulary and the NHS support it too. Emma thanked everyone who helped a lot. She thanked the twenty-six businesses that funded it.

Emma hopes the campaign raises awareness. She wants tougher sentences for knife crime. She feels that taking a life deserves more time. “A few years is not enough, ” she suggests.

She wants more help for at-risk youth. Some kids carry knives out of fear. They fear becoming victims otherwise. ” We need to support those kids, ” she said. She wants to work with child exploitation teams.

She asked parents to teach kids about the kits. They should also tell them not to mess with them. These kits may just save their lives.

The GoFundMe is closed now. They raised all the money needed. Emma and partners want to grow the project. Contact Emma at her email for more information. People may also e-mail PC Dan Moulden.
